Cots 4 Tots – A Charity That Helps Families With Neonatal Intensive Care

Cots 4 Tots offers accommodations close to hospitals for families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is run by the Great Appeal, the dedicated charity that helps Bristol Children’s Hospital. Abbey Silvester ran in support of the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run.

When your child is ready, it’s best to move them to a bed. This will help prevent resentment toward their new sister. It may also help them sleep better.

The Cots 4 Tots story

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit organization that is a partner in the Marine Corps toy drive. It offers financial, advisory, administrative logistical and promotional assistance to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and a variety of other services that the Marine Corps cannot provide. It also provides educational and informational materials to the general public and assists national corporations to include information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and runs an annual program of education for the public and public relations.

The Cots 4 Tots story began in 2010 with a fund-raising appeal for Bristol’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital. The charity has raised tens of thousands of pounds since its inception, supporting families of premature and sick babies throughout the West of England and South Wales. Its mission includes providing families with accommodation facilities as well as state-of-the art equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House is an “home away from home” for families in hospital. It is located opposite the NICU and allows parents to be close to their child. Since 2012, the charity has helped more than 2,100 families to stay at the house.

Families who reside at Cots For Tots House are reassured they aren’t alone. They are part of a community of parents who are going through the same issues as they do and they are able to help each to help each other. Additionally, they have access to numerous services to make their stay as comfortable as is possible.

The charity also supports a music therapist who goes to the NICU to reduce stress and pain levels for children and their parents. It has been demonstrated that this improves the quality of life both for patients and their family members. Music therapy also helps reduce the amount of medication required to treat these children, which can save money and time for the hospitals. The therapist uses specially-designed resonant instruments that are tuned to certain frequencies and play soothing music for babies. The resonant musical instruments also help relax fathers and mothers.

The Cots 4 Tots website

The Cots 4 Tots website is the home of a special charity that raises money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. The charity is part of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, and it also supports Cots for Tots House which offers free home-from-home accommodation to families whose children are treated in the neonatal intensive-care unit. The charity has helped thousands over the past decade.

Abbey Silvester’s two kids, Alfie and Mollie, both were in the neonatal intensive care unit at St Michael’s Hospital. She says that Cots for Tots “was an absolute blessing” and her family would not have been able to survive without it. “You meet new friends here, you form an environment that is welcoming and you love one another,” said she. “Without it who can say what our lives would have looked like.”

It is important to make the right decision for your baby when selecting a cot. There are many different sizes and styles you can pick from, so it’s crucial to consider what you will require in the future. A cot should be durable and have a good railing. It must also be easy to clean and have a mattress that can be removed. Some cots come with a height-adjustable base, which is great for families with young children.

Moving can be a stressful experience for any person, but it’s more difficult for parents who are faced with the added challenges of a baby. If you hire a car transportation service early and preparing for the move to ensure a smooth transition.
